After nearly a decade of dormancy, the former Janesville, Wisconsin GM Assembly Plant will be demolished this year. The plant was purchased by General Motors in 1918 to produce tractors, and began building Chevrolet products by 1923, and produced a wide variety of full-size GM products until its closure in 2009.
