Even though it hasn’t produced a Ford vehicle in 85 years, the Ford New Orleans plant in Arabi, Louisiana has earned its place in history. Built in the 1920s, the operation was an example of decentralized, regional mass assembly of manufactured parts into complete vehicles. The New Orleans plant assembled Models T, TT, and A between 1923 and 1933.
