2017 Toys for Tots campaign

Since 1947, The U.S. Marine Corps Reserve has run the Toys for Tots program each holiday season to distribute toys to children whose parents cannot afford to buy them gifts for Christmas. Over the past 70 years, this nationwide program has collected and distributed over half a billion toys, with the motto Every child deserves a litle Christmas.

The Artesian City Car Club was honored and proud to partner with the Marines Toys for Tots Foundation to support their 2017 campaign for Albany, Georgia and surrounding counties.

Beginning in October, the club collected toy donations at each of our public events. The club also solicited donations from area individuals and organizations to support the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation.

On December 9, 2017, the campaign concluded with the 2nd Annual Toys For Tots Family Fun Day. This single-day toy drive event featured family-friendly activities, demonstrations by the Albany Fire Department, local law enforcement agencies, air ambulance helicopters, and a car, truck & motorcycle show.

The club’s campaign and event collected 900 toys and raised $3,000 to benefit the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation. Thanks to your support, the Foundation collected 25,000 toys and 2,800 Southwest Georgia children in need have Christmas gifts under the tree this season.

THANK YOU to everyone who participated and contributed to the club’s campaign for Toys for Tots!
