On Saturday, October 7, 2017, The Home Depot of Albany Georgia held their annual Kids’ Fire Safety Workshop.

Home Depot provided building supplies and paint for children to construct their own firehouse coin banks, a face-painting booth, and refreshments. The Albany Fire Department displayed two firetrucks and provided fire fighters to teach kids about fire safety. The Dougherty County Sheriff’s Office provided a fingerprinting booth, and Albany Rock 103 provided entertainment and live broadcasting.

The Artesian City Car Club was invited to participate and display vehicles for kids of all ages to view.

The Kid’s Fire Safety Workshop was held in support of National Fire Prevention Week, which is from October 8 until October 14.
