Know when to Stop for School Buses:

When a school bus stops for passengers:

• Two-lane road: all traffic in both directions must stop
• Two-lane road with center turn lane: all traffic in both directions must stop
• Four-lane road without a center median: all traffic in both directions must stop
• Divided highway of four lanes or more with a center median: only traffic following behind the bus must stop

Bus safety violations can be camera-enforced. Violations result in six points on a GA driver’s license. Violators under the age of 21 will also receive a six-month license suspension.
